We have a Bosch Washer 6 yrs old & found water leaking underneath after the last load. We removed pump cover on the bottom which released about 2 cups of smelly water. Any ideas what could be causing the issue??
I just had the same problem with our last wash. I found the manual online. Here it is:

FOLLOW THE SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS IN THAT MANUAL.
I recall we had a similar problem a couple of times over the past 10 years. When I checked the trap I found a rusty nail this time.
I suggest you follow the drainage instructions by way of the rubber hose with the plastic stopper, so about 2L of water doesn't pour out of your machine, rather than just immediately unscrewing the plug on the LHS.
The instructions on cleaning help with this problem. You probably won't find a reference to the problem in Troubleshooting. Gently, make sure the fins at the back are rotating.
My machine is now working well again. Superb machine - 15 trouble free years!
Of course you may have the problem alluded to earlier - a leak somewhere else.

Leaks could be from anywhere. remove the top and back cover, put on a cycle and try to trace where leak is. sorry if this is not very helpful. water in filter should not smell. this may be due to using liquid detergent which causes a smell like drains if used over a period. put on a boil wash and revert to using powder
