I am replacing a float switch and wiring damaged by our angry Pekingese dog. (Really-- it's a long story) There are two wires connected to the switch terminals. One wire comes from the control panel. The other goes from the switch to the water valve. One of the switch terminals is marked "COM" The other terminal is marked "NC". Which wire is connected to which terminal?_
The actual description on page 29 is not all that ILLUMINATING...
... and WORSE I WAS HOPING TO SEE A circuit DRAWING to confirm what I already knew..
"Com" takes the POWERED SIDE... (hot when running)
"NC" (normally closed) goes to the WATER VALVE.
During the sequence of washing...
the controller applies power to the "COM"...
when the FLOAT SWITCH... is NOT floating power
continues to be "ON" to the WATER-VALVE...
When the water get to the operational (float)
level the "NC" (normally closed).. OPENS and shuts
OFF the WATER VALVE.
I ONLY looked halfway through the "service" manual...
before I came to the conclusion there were NO SUCH circuit or schematic drawings... (verified on 2nd pass).
Even after to careers in electronics... I hate working on
ELECTRIC stuff... My personal pleasure would be to invite you to look at the No Contact Volt Tests... (NCVT) Amazon com no contact volt test
For between $10 & $20 you can be the proud owner of a NCVT... Mine is a KLEIN... (long ago.. & far away).
Turns red & chirps... when it gets near power
(so I won't have to (turn RED or chirp)).

The drop feed plate could be damaged of bent near the hook race. Then the feed dog could be binding and not dropping all the way down. Replace the plate. There is a micro-switch that reports the feed dog status. This switch may not be activating correctly when the feed dog lever is moved up and down. The switch will need to be checked for damaged wires/connectors and replaced if faulty. This should be done by a good sewing machine repair person.
I hope this helps. Please add a comment with the make and model of the sewing machine for information on the correct drop feed plate.

The shih Tzu is a toy breed dog originated in China. The shih tzu was officially recognized by the American Kennel Club in 1969. They commonly live approx.10-16years, are lively, outgoing, playful, alert, gentle & loyal. they generally interact well with other dogs, children & adults & upon DNA analysis, have a close genetic relationship to wolves. A common character trait is they have a very noticeable underbite. I hope that helps you a little cuz thats about all I know. Good Luck!!
The first thing to try is to disconnect the sub and all speakers from the amp's output block. The only things that you need connected to the amp are the 12V power, the ground wire, and the remote wire to turn it on. If the protection light comes on with only these three wires connected - your amp has been damaged internally and will either need to be repaired or replaced.
The feed dogs are
driven by the feed driver mechanism, turn the hand-wheel forward and the
feed dogs will come up. (Providing you have the feed dog switch to the
up position).
First, check the source of the power to the unit, Has a circuit breaker in your home's circuit breaker panel been tripped? If so, unplug the unit, before resetting the circuit breaker. If that's not the case, check the outlet it's plugged into. It may be damaged or have a loose wiring connection. Be sure to turn the circuit breaker for that receptacle OFF, before removing the cover plate.
If all of the above checks out OK, check the water collection bucket, as it may need to be emptied and/or the bucket was not reinstalled properly or the float valve in the top of the bucket is stuck in the UP position, If so, jiggle the arm of the float valve to get to return to the DOWN position.
When reinstalling the bucket, be sure that it fits "squarely" into it's holder and makes firm contact with the bucket safety removal switch.
I hope this helps you to troubleshoot & solve the problem. Thanks for choosing FixYa.
Theissue seems to be with the float
switch assembly that is bad and should be replaced. Float assembly is found
inside the dishwasher's tub, on the bottom. The water that fills the dishwasher
lifts the float, and when it reaches a certain level, it acts as a trigger for
the float switch. The float triggers the float switch to shut off, thereby
shutting off the flow of water into the dishwasher. A defective switch may
interfere with dishwasher's filling and/or draining ability. Use voltmeter to
test the switch. Set the device to the ohms setting x 1. Take each probe and
touch them to one switch terminal each. This should produce a reading of either
zero or infinity. Continue to touch the probes to the terminals, and press down
on the switch's button. The reading should change to the opposite extreme. If
the switch fails either of these tests, you should replace it.Hope this helps...please post back for
further assistance.
Hi, The float switch went bad... probably because of the water...you could replace it, but the parts are hard to get and with the time involved it will be easier and cheaper to replace it...
Sounds like your senor in the gas tank it self is bad. Most cars have a float that read out how full the tank is and when it goes out it will stay stuck showing you on the dash that your tank is empty even though it is full.
