Dishwasher burning smell now not working

Sounds like you have burnt something. May have shorted out. Shut it down and pull the plug or could maybe cause a fire. Get a professional to look at it.

However, rarely have I encountered an inlet valve that emitted a burning smell. So I'd expect there to be some other problem in there.
But, if the inlet valve didn't pass the test, then it needs to be replaced. Plus, if it was stuck on the rinse cycle and the valve was out, then that is where the cycle would hang up.
Burning smells usually come from a motor, a belt, shorted wiring or a heating element. So if everything else checks out, then go for replacing the valve. The instructions are included in our dishwasher repair section.

the bad smell you refer to is a smell of the electric motor burned out have the motor replaced the machine should be ok

I assume you mean it stopped in mid cycle and is now dead. If this is the case you will need to turn off the power to the dishwasher and remove the screws holding the front control panel There is a thermal fuse clipped to the front of the control panel Check it using an ohmmeter or continuity tester If it is open you will need to replace it with a kit containing the fuse and wire connectors Do not replace just the thermal fuse the problem will surely return. Also inspect the control board for burned areas.If the control board is burned you should replace the wiring harness with the control assembly

Hi, I have an older dishwasher also and recently mywife also complained about it not cleaning right... so me being the man I amtried in vain to clean the things... Hi just read your posting.On your model of machine the 3 reasons that the machine does not power up are ,your power point is dead,check with a small appliance, your drain pump is faulty,or the control module is faulty.Did you smell any burning smell near the machine?Is the machine full of water?To check the pump you need a multimeter to check the windings or look under the machine to the front right and you will see a fan.This is your pump.Check with a torch on the pump for corrosion or any burning smell near it.Please reply with additional information on the questions and what the condition of the pump is.Looking forward to your reply.

Sounds like an inlet valve. If there is no water in the pump when it runs you can burn up the rubber seals. After fixing the fill problem you should check underneath for any leaks.

Check the wiring connection. The merrets can come loose and you then loose power. Turn off power first, if this is the case, make sure you tape them up.

u will more than likely find its the element... and i would not charge that for to come out.. ive one here im doing.. u can get the part for 40 quid on the net.. im charging to fix this one 90 in total.
