My computer is locked. ctrl/alt/delete does nothing

WOW, how'd you do that?

That sounds like a Bios or Hard Drive Lock. How long have you had this computer? Did it work before?

You need to press the Power Button to start it and see what key it says to hit to get into the Bios or System Setup. Once you are there you need to look at the Passwords to see which password it is asking for (Bios or Hard Drive). After we know that, then we might can find a solution. Report back to us.

Where can I find a driver for my hitachi travelstar IC25N080ATMR04-0

1. You shouldn't need a driver for the hard drive
the Bios ( Basic Input/output system ).
2. You mother board should detect the driver
3. You will have to go into the BIOS setup to see of your hard drive is detect then set the BIOS to boot from the hard drive
4. If your pc takes SATA ( Serial advance technology attachment) then a IDE ( Intelligent drive electronics) will not work with the system without an adapter.
5. Your PC mother board instruction manual will have instruction on hard to access your BIOS settings
Caution: Any changes in the BIOS will not allow some devices attached to your PC to work properly is not properly addressed in the BIOS setup.

The COMPAQ splash screen displays, with F1-Setup and F10 system recovery option, but then displays 'DISK BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER'. This is my sisters computer, and she says there...

You may be able to purchase a system disk from Compaq, otherwise, try any generic XP disk. It won't have any Compaq drivers, but at least you can reformat the C: drive and get XP on it.

How do i format the seagate 5400 160 gig hard drive?

Configuring the BIOS
After completing the drive installation, restart your computer. Your computer
may automatically detect your new drive. If your computer does not
automatically detect your new drive, follow the steps below.
1. Restart your computer. While the computer restarts, run the system
setup program (sometimes called BIOS or CMOS setup). This is usually
done by pressing a special key, such as DELETE, ESC, or F1 during
the startup process.
2. Within the system setup program, instruct the system to auto detect
your new drive.
3. Save the settings and exit the setup program.
When your computer restarts, it should recognize your new drive.

HITACHI HARD DRIVE LOCKED

Hello Oldnovii
This Toshiba notebook has both a BIOS and hard drive lock on it. The client has already paid $ 25 to the Toshiba depot to have the BIOS lock removed now they want $ 100 to remove the hard drive lock. The hard drive lock cannot be removed by trying to bypass it using a boot cd or disabling the hard drive boot option in the BIOS. Any help will be appreciated since my client has now had the notebook for 2 weeks and cannot use it. Thanks
