Upon recieving a phone call, our Panasonic KX-T7736 will not answer any incoming lines by lifting the handset from the cradle. Lines must be selected manually from the CO line buttons. This was not always an issue. The line was disconnected briefly for cleaning, and we've had this problem ever since. Please help!

If you start with intercom dial tone, press 81 or 82. If you dial 9 you'll get line 2 before line 1 in normal programming, and if you dial a line that's busy with 8x access codes, you'll get a busy, even if the other line is free.
Of course, you could also RTFM and program the system to function with your TA-824 http://public.carl.airpost.net/Pana/TA-824/UG_TA_0823%5B1%5D.pdf
Starting on page 15 or so of the pdf, after you set up the keys, you'd press the > and 1 or 2 to get to lines 1 or 2 :-)

There is. If your question is really "can I do that" then it's a different answer. You need access to installer programming to assign all of the lines into the same ICD group. By default, ICD group 600 is the first ICD group and it has the ability for you to put all members (extensions) into it with either a direct or delayed ring. Putting those phones into an ICD group that's assigned will make the phones blink or ring on an incoming call.
Needless to say, any further programming is beyond the scope of a free forum as it is a dealer function.

Try unplugging the phoen and plug a single line telephone into the port. If it doesn't work, you have your answer. The voice pair, which will use the inner pair of a 4 conductor cable needs to be working before the multi-line set will work. I'm guessing you have the data path but not the voice. The phone looks like it works, but there is no sound.
