If you can darken the room when first turn set on and have sound, take a small light (flashlight) and examine the screen, DO YOU see a faint image of the picture on the sets screen?

Most use a back light and it may not be coming on correctly.

To learn more Google BACKLIGHT IN TV.

This is indicative of a bad main board that will need replaced. For this model make sure the repair person has the full product code (from the back of the unit) so that they can get the correct main board ordered (there are multiple versions depending on the product code). Hope this helps.

This means that the bulb is bad, and is taking forever to heat up. You need to get the bulb replaced to fix it.

My lg tv screen is black and wont turn on

Going to be a economic decision---not likely to be a do it yourself repair--consider taking to a shop for a estimate.

You might want to Google the model number with "parts" to see what boards are available and at what cost.

Cannot control tv with remote. took remote to my son's house and it worked his tv ok ( same model). Seems it might be a tv problem and not a remote problem. It happened about 3 months ago and then kinda...

Hello,

the fault is from your the TV sensor. Your remote sensor cannot sense the TV sensor, that's why the remote or any other cannot control your TV.

So its a remote sensor problem.

Take care.

Sound problems

Contact your LG dealer to request a service call out, it is very possible the operating software requires to be updated to the latest version especially if you have had the TV for quite a while. Once this is done if the problem still persists then there will be a problem with the audio processor & this will need replacing.
