My Precore 9.35 stops within a few seconds of running after attaching the security clip. Panel states Error 5. I can restart it manually but cannot attach the clip without triggering the error message and stopping the treadmill.
See the next step and fix it. God bless you
SOURCE: Error message reads: Pace error #1
Errors 00 through Error 04 check upper PCA memory locations, RAM memory locations and EEPROM checksum during the power up test sequence. If a fault is found during the power up test sequence, the appropriate error code will be displayed.
These errors messages almost always indicate an upper console problem when they are consistently displayed. Failures causing these error messages to be displayed are rare.
If the error message is consistently displayed when the unit is powered up, the upper console should be replaced.

Error 26 is what's known as a Motor Pulse Width Incorrect. It basically monitors the sensor signal and verifies that it's appropriate for the requested speed. If your machine uses an infrared sensor, check the line of sight between the optical eye and the sensor target, an array of black and silver wedges arranged like a pie. Ensure that it is 3/16" apart and that it's pointed at the larger point of the wedge section. Use an electronic cleaning compressed air cleaner to blow out any particles that could block it. Have a close look at the target, if it's torn or badly scratched, it will need to be replaced.
If the machine uses a hall effect sensor (magnetic) ensure the distance between the flywheel tooth and sensor is 3/16".
You can sometimes get this error if the speed sensor is faulty, but usually it will happen without you even touching the controls at that point because the lower board isn't receiving any signals from the sensor, or you will get a different error code.
SOURCE: What does code 22 mean?
Error 22 - No Motor Pulses at Start Up
Description
Error 22 indicates that the drive motor (running belt) has been instructed to start, by either
manual or program control, and the monitoring system has not received any response from the
speed sensing system indicating that the drive motor has started.
Possible Causes
1. The treadmill utilizes an optical (infrared) speed sensor and the line of sight between the
speed sensor and the speed sensor target is obstructed.
2. Drive motor brushes are bad.
3. The speed sensor position relative to the speed sensor target is incorrect.
4. The speed sensor potentiometer adjustment is incorrect (when equipped).
5. The speed sensor is inoperative.
6. The lower PCA is bad.
7. The lower PCA to upper PCA interconnect cable is bad.
8. The upper PCA is bad

First of all, here is a direct link to the ONLINE USER"S MANUAL for a similar model (9.31):
To view the Owner's Manual with Operating Instructions just use your mouse to click on the link, which is the underlined and highlighted text just above. This will open a new web browser page automatically for you and allow you to view the information at the website indicated and the contents of the Owner's Manual.
You may need ADOBE READER installed on your computer to read PDF documents.
You can download this free at WWW.ADOBE.COM if necessary.
Click on the DOWNLOAD ADOBE READER button on right side of the ADOBE home page when you get there.
If your treadmill is similar enough to the one in the manual, then there are multiple safety features incorporated into the machine. See page 9 and 10 of the ONLINE USER'S MANUAL for detailed instructions on their operation.
Acccording to the manual, TO RESUME RUNNING after the safety switch trips do the following:
Reattach the magnetic safety key to the display console.
Straddle the running belt.
Press QUICKSTART or the SPEED UP ARROW.
If required, enter the SAFETY CODE (which is 1234 unless previously changed by owner).
The belt should begin moving slowly again, so just step back on carefully while holding handles.
See page 50 of the Online User's Manual for more details about the SAFETY CODE to unlock the belt. As stated, the default Safety Code from the factory is 1 2 3 4.

If the microwave runs for a few seconds and then shuts off, a door switch might have failed intermittently. Check each of the door switches for any signs of overheating, arcing, or burning. Also check each of them for continuity. Replace any of the switches that is visibly damaged or that only has continuity intermittently
If
the microwave runs for a few seconds and stops there may be a short
circuit in the main control board. Check other components first,
these boards are often misdiagnosed.
If
the microwave runs for a few seconds and stops the touchpad and
control panel might be defective. There are several other components
that can cause this problem, be sure to check any other components
before replacing this board.
If
the microwave runs for a few seconds and stops the touchpad might be
at fault. This is not common. Generally speaking, if the microwave
display is working and some of the buttons respond correctly but
some don't, the problem is with the touchpad.
If
the microwave runs for a few seconds and stops the high voltage
transformer might have an intermittent short. This is not common.
Check other components related to the microwave symptom first.
If
the microwave runs for a few seconds and stops the thermostat might
be defective. Watch our video on testing thermostat
1 )Locate
the reset switch on the underside of the treadmill console. Usually
the button is large enough to trigger with a pencil eraser or Q-tip.
Plug the treadmill plug back into the wall. Use the Q-tip to press
the reset button. It may be necessary to hold the reset button down
for a few seconds. "CL11" will appear in the display of the
treadmill.
2
Press the reset button one more time with the Q-tip. "CL21" should appear on the screen. Press the enter key. The display will change again and show "CL22." Keep pressing the enter key until the numbers cycle through to the number "CL26." Press enter one more time. The letter E should appear on the display screen.
Test your PSU or replace it if your power supply units fan is not working your PSU is faulty
One bad lead can cause a computer to continue on a cycle or to shutdown or fail to detect/ boot up a computer hard drive
Test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions,IDE,SATA
the leads from your ((motherboard to your hard drive)) make sure they have a secure connection and are not faulty or just replace them there probably old and faulty
make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty even the electrical extensions or just replace them they are probably old and faulty a computer needs its connections to have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error
make sure that your RAM is securely seated
hope this will help
