Did you try uninstalling and re-installing the drivers. Uninstall everything including the canoscan tool bar, Arcsoft photo studio and Omnipage. And re-install.

Hope that helps,
Sai.

How to scan documents to computer EPSON stylus sx410/tx410 ?

Hi Susan,
Basic Scanning
You can scan original documents and photos and save them as files on your
computer using the Epson Scan software. You can also launch Epson Scan from
any TWAIN-compliant application, such as Adobe Photoshop
1. Open the document cover and place your original face-down on the scanner
glass, in the front right corner, as shown on page 9.
2. Close the cover gently so you don't move the original.
3. Do one of the following to start Epson Scan:
Windows:
Double-click the EPSON Scan icon on your desktop.
Macintosh:
Double-click EPSON Scan in the Applications folder.
If you are scanning from an application, start your application. Then
open the File menu, choose Import or Acquire, and select your Epson
product
Select Full Auto Mode as the Mode setting
in the upper right corner. (If you are in
Home, Office, or Professional Mode, you see
a different Epson Scan window.)
5. If you want to restore faded color in a photo
or make other corrections, click Customize.
Then follow the instructions in the next
section.
6. Click the Scan button. The image is scanned
and you see its icon in Windows Explorer or
Macintosh Finder.

A software to clean up my computer

Hello, I am the technician that will be assisting you today. My name is Norman-Wynne Damstra.

Welcome to Fixya, Lloyd Clement.

There are many useful applications in Microsoft Windows that will clean up your computer and make your computer faster and more responsive.

They are the following:
1.) Microsoft Windows file defragmentator refered to as a hard drive defrag. It simply sorts out all your files on your hard drive and places them in order for better reading performance.
To Perform Defrag: Click Start, then All programs, then Accessories, then System tools, then Disk Defragmentater. Once opened click defragment hard drive usually C: drive

2.) Microsoft Scan disk. The application scans your hard drive for errors, bad clusters or segments. If it flags a cluster as bad it simply copies your information from that cluster and moves it to the next available good sector.
To perform scan disk: Double click My Computer, then right click your hard drive and select properties, Now click the Tools tab, under the heading for Error Checking click Check now.

You will noice the option to Defragment shown below the error checking option.

Those are the fundamental programs that will keep your computer system running well.

Take care!
