I need a free whistler xtr 538 instruction manual for my radar detector?

Press and hold in the Quiet/Volume button. The display will show the volume level.

Please visit Whistler's website at www.whistlergroup.com and click on The search box and enter XTR-135. This will bring up the spec page that will have the manual listed.

Please visit www.whistlergroup.com and click on the top red button marked "MANUAL" then the blue button labled "RADAR DETECTORS" and you will see the XTR-555 listed.

The lower end Whistler radar detector models do not have particularly good performance against all radar gun frequencies. Whistler's XTR-690, Pro78 and XTR-695 on the other hand do perform very well against all police radar guns. Its basically a matter of you get what you pay for.
