Most likely your hard drive is dead. Go check with your local IT guy :)

SOURCE: Trying to start my computer

http://www.hitachigst.com/hdd/support/download.htm has a Disc Fitness Test programme. It produces a floppy to boot from DOS into Windows. My Satellite 1110 has the same error message, PXE-E61. The BIOS shows "no HDD". The DTF  found no fault on the HDD. (full test took 45minutes)    Give it a try.  I know, you need a working computer to down load it-- and DOS and a floppy drive on the faulty one. There are USB adaptors for floppy drives.  Tomorrow I prise the 1110 apart and will clean all the cable and connectors. Good luck.

SOURCE: laptop

Hey you try this.
Enter into BIOS, Disable SATA Support, if problem persists, change your Hard Disk, that is crashed. I had the same problem last month.

SOURCE: PXE-E61:Media Test Failure

you got that error message because your harddrive isnot detected so it try to boot from network and you don't have OS in the network.

Most of the time is your hdd is dead. In some cases the motherboard is dead.

You can replace your hdd.
for OS (vista vs XP), if you have enough rams and high cpu, you should install vista, but for me, I prefer XP.
for the price, you should call microsoft seller.

SOURCE: my mini dell inspiration laptop sends me an error

This error comes up if the computer is not able to detect the hard drive. Power off the computer. Power it back on and tap the number 2 key 4 - 5 times at the Dell logo screen. This will take you to the system setp screen. Check if you see any thing listed next to solid state drive. If you dont see any thing try reseating the hard drive. Here are the steps to reseat the hard drive.. If you see an entry next to the solid state drive. You'll need to reinstall windows on the computer. If you have been shipped XP you will need an external CD drive to reinstall windows. If the system was sen with ubantu try to download it to a usb drive and boot off it.

SOURCE: pxe-e63 and pxe-m0f errors

enter to boot up in safe mode, then disable the atheros network drivers in my computers properties > hardware or drivers, then leave the originals that it came with should be the first two, ok, remove all others that say atheros, This error is of a group of driver programs being installed in computers through networking, yes hackers, I've fixed about 10 computers this month, but this software seems to log in to a network that can monitor your activity. Made by Atheros, & probably hacked to do this, cause Im sure the company did not modify this to log in to other private networks, if networks or drivers are disabled it will not even but up so best thing is to go into safe mode & disable these atheros drivers that dont belong in the computers in the first place. I had to re-install the bios in pcs because it modifies bios, registry files, and once t does that, its hell for the not so tech savy normal person.

Can you trace a stolen toshiba satellite c655d-s5200

Not that I know of.

You can install a tracking software in the computer, for in case it's stolen, but this has to be BEFORE it is stolen.

Rest assured whomever stole it will get their just reward.
Karma, you know.

My toshiba satellite C655D-S5200 isn't charging?

Your power cord may have shot its wad.
They are not expensive to replace--even order a spare if you are paying S & H anyhow.
More likely however is that you need a new battery. Those are a bit pricier!

I keep getting intel undi pxe-2.1(build 0892) copyright (c) 1997-2000 intel corporation for realtek rtl8100/8101e fast ethernet network adapter v1.02 (060510) pxe-e61 media test failure check cable...

Your laptop is trying to boot via LAN(network). Possible the HDD is not being detected by your system that is why it could not boot to windows. Try to boot up without the ethernet (your internet cable) connected to it and see if it works. If not, you may have a bad HDD.

Hope this helps.

Replaced Toshiba HDD but won't boot from recovery CD

Put the disk in the drive and restart the machine, when the toshiba logo appears press F12 and use the cursor key to select CD/DVD and hit enter.
See if it lets you boot from the CD/DVD drive.
Please keep me informed and good luck.

Receiving PXE-E61 media test failure/PXE-M0F exiting intel PXE RO

If you get this error in a black screen before windows xp can boot up....
CLIENT MAC ADDR: xxxxxxx GUID: xxxxxxxxxx
PXE-E53: no boot filename recived
PXE-MOF: exiting intel PXE Rom
Your network card's settings in bios have somehow been changed. PXE means Pre-Execution Enviroment. In other words, it allows your network card to connect to a network server to pull operating system images off the network and other files without having an operating system installed.

The Fix,
Go into BIOS press F2 or F12 whatever your PC's screen at bootup says. In Bios, reset your bios settings to the default bios settings, or original settings. This fixed my problem with the above error. Nothing else fixed it. Windows Recovery cd will not fix it, because you cannot boot windows if this error is still occuring, Your network card will keep prompting DHCP to search for a network.
Its a bios function not a windows function.
