No power to my schemer opal

The main fuse is inside the cabinet near where the power cord enters. When everything goes dead all of a sudden, 99.9% of the time it's the fuse.

There is a internal fuse on the power supply board. When you plug in the set, does the standby light come on?

since you have change the fuse in plug, this indicate that your plug is okay, the likely problem is from the television which will require you to open the television to check for fuses, bulged capacitors, but if otherwise your power supply is dead.It can be dead at anytimes.Tries websites Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

Check ac to the set. Plug a lamp into the same outlet to test it. If ok then check fuse on power board. If fuse ok replace the power board.

Had the same problem with my TA5FNFS once you have confirmed as there is power in the wall socket and the fuse in the plug and cable are ok, I found as the PCB control board had burnt out costs about £60 for a replacement board

Most MP3 players have a reset button somewhene on them. The RCA opal's is on the back. It says reset in very fine print and you have to stick a very tiny NOT metal object such as a toothpick in the hole and push the tiny button. It should turn on normally after you do this.

yes, take the back off, and follow the power cord. You will see a fuse in the board.You have the same problem as I have. I replaced my fuse, and plugged it back in, It made a sizzling sound and blew the fuse again.Maybe you will have better luck, with your set good luck rob

Run the installation CD first, before connecting.
Are you running vista? You may need a clean version of the installation software from RCA's website.

What are the symptoms? Is the set dead? Please clarify

model number from back of set...The red power light coming on means the AC fuse is OK, but the B+ fuse may be bad. If that

is true,check the horiz o/p xistor and get back to me....T.
