Sound cuts in and out of my sony trinitron how can i fix this myself

The problem with this model is the large parts due to poor wave soldering. Locate the transistor Q605. Using a small wattage soldering iron melt the solder and add a little solder to all the large parts in the area. Small wattage = 15 to 30 watt. Stay away from the surface mounts they are not the problem. I resoldered the following: D647
Q605 C690 D645 D620 R691 Q691
These parts are located on the main board, the one the power cord connects to. Carefully press the clip on the left side of the board (as you look at it from the rear of the tv) carefully pull the main board back and out of the rails. You will find the parts on the right side of the main board about 2 inches over 2 inches down.

I once had this problem.I unplugged it for a few minutes then plugged it in it worked , but then i took it to repair it and everything was fine

This could be a sign that the picture tube is starting to fail. To prove this try the following: Please note that there are potentially dangerous high voltages present inside the set, so be careful.

Unplug the set and remove the back. Locate the flyback transformer (lower right when facing the back of the set and has a lare red wire coming out the top.) There should be 2 controls on that part. One should be labeled screen the other focus. Turn the screen control slightly clockwise. Turn on the set. If the blanking stops, then this will "fix" the problem for a short period. This is not a final fix, but a short tern remedy to give you time to locate a replacement set.

If the above does not resolve the problem, please update this and we'll investigate further.

I thinks that you have a concept of soldering and have the knowledge in following the printed circuit board tracks.
Seven blinks in Sony sets denotes a high voltage shutdown. When the high voltage at the final anode of the picture tube exceeds 33KVDC, the unit goes to shut down, and the system control Ic detects it and gives you this seven blinks as indication. Mainly this fault must be due to increase in the main DC supply line on the circuit board. Usually Sony 32" sets are working at 135VDC, as supply voltage to its LOT [Line Output Tranformer]. You first do one thing. Isolate the supply to LOT by making a break in the print very close to LOT so that we can resolder it later. Load a 100W bulb in seris with the supply point and negative rail in the circuit, and switch on the TV. The bulb will glow, and measure the voltage across it. It should be around or lower than the above said voltage. If it is more than normal, check the main power regulator section. Normally Sony sets have STR regulated power supply system. If any of its solder joints goes loose contacted, this fault [over voltage] may occur. Check for all solder joints for any loose contact. Loose contact in printed circuit boards are very difficult to locate. We in service field, resolder all the suspected point bt applying a little more solder. In most cases this may be the reson for seven blinks. If it does not helps, change the STR with same type and number. STRs are very accurate constant voltage regulators, and will be no adjustement presets there to adjust.
After resoldering the suspected points, switch on the set again and measure the voltage across the bulb. If you see it is normal as said above, reconnect the breaked point.
Before doing all of the above, first adjust the screen control of the TV to a lower value by rotating the screen control to counterclockwise, and see whether the screen comes and stay steady or not. If Screen Control Potmeter is defective, this fault may occur.
These are the main reasons for seven blinks on Sony TVs. Ok.
