Probably now you are using GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) or EDGE (Enhanced Data for Global Evolution) services on your phone.These services and their speeds are dependent on their Network service providers.However, these services cannot provide speeds beyond a limit (32-48kbps for GPRS and 135kbps for EDGE) and are not suitable for services like high speed internet surfing, video streaming and downloading.

What you need is a wireless router. Your high speed internet connection at home might have a wireless router built into it, but some don't. What kind of internet connection do you have? what's the model of the modem you have. If you're not sure, just list the model numbers of all of the devices you have running.

It is OK to keep putting the UN and PW in. However you shouldn't have to. I suggest having a tech come to your home and have them do a signal test both at your jack and outside with your home unplugged from your service box. If there is a big difference in the numbers then you're simply loosing signal due to signal bleed inside. This is a simple fix. Have them isolate some wires in your jack and place a DSL filter outside. Then your DSL signal will go straight to your modem and not bounce all over your home. This will NOT affect your phone.
