SOURCE: Jazzy 1113 will not operate!

The click you hear when you activiate the joystick is the electric solenoid on the automatic brakes going on, and then off when you push then release the joystick. This is normal. If it isn't moving, check to see if the free-wheel levers are in gear or in neutral. If you can push the chair, you are in neutral and activating the joystick will just release the brake and run the motors. Turn the two levers to the drive position and then it should take you where you want to go.

You can go to Pride Mobility's website to download an owners manual for your chair here

Pull the forward and to right to lock position, which will release the gear so that the wheelchair can be move about without any electric power. Bear in mind though that releases the gear, still too heavy to push as normal wheelchair. Give a go, to find out for yourself.

My Dad's 2012 Pride Jazzy Select 6 wheelchair is difficult to maneuver. Since all 4 wheels rotate, backing up straight is impossible. What is my problem?

A light touch on the joystick is first. If it remains difficult then have the joystick reprogrammed. Only a dealer is set up to reprogram a joy stick.

Don't run light go from left to right on a "Jazzy

carly that indication is the charging inhibit mode and the joystick still thinks the charger is still plugged in. Unfortunately there is no quick fix for this and usually requires a joystick or controller replacement. I would have your provider check it for you and maybe try another joystick from another chair to see if that fixes the error if it does then you'll have to replace the joystick. If Medicare paid for your chair then they will pay for most of the replacement cost Hope this helps

Jazzy 1121 power chair won't charge when plug in to charge chair can move when you use joystick

you have either bad batteries or a bad charger or the charger might have come unplugged at the controller or power module. When you have the charger plugged in and you turn on the joystick the lights on the joystick should ripple to indicate the charger is plugged in. If you don't see this ripple then either the charger is bad or disconnected. Trace the charger cable from the rear of the chair (you have to remove the seat and shroud to do this) to the front module and make sure that the cable is plugged in. Hope this helps

Jazzy 1113 will not charge, batteries are new, light blinks indicates charging when plugged in but fails to increase usage lights.

Most likely your charge isn't charging properly. You need a multimeter to test the voltage at the joystick. In the 3-pin femal connector measure the voltage across the two horizontal terminals. It should read about 24 volts. Now plug it into the charger and see if the voltage increases, if not, charger needs to be replaced. You can get one that plugs into the joystick on ebay a lot cheaper than going to the mfgr. about $50.00 or so. Even if the lights are blinking, it may not be putting out sufficient voltage to bring the batteries up.

How can you tell when the battery is charging?

Your indication that the internal battery on the joystick is charging IS the red light, which in some configurations
may turn to different colors as charging progressses, but if you note no color change, and/or if when you disconnect the joystick from the power, the light either does not stay on or the stick does not operate independantly of the power source, then the internal battery is defective, has exceeded the number of recharges
cycles and/or is fried.

Buy a new set of batteries for all sticks at the same time and play on.
