I brought a car amplifier on ebay jensen A300HLX and the amp is working but I feel it is to weak. How do I check the outputs for the level of power is pumping out?
I openned the amplifier and everything looks good ,but I found one lost screw inside .The other owner had openned it.
If you have a 25 Watt amp (per speaker) then go to radio shack and get (2) 50 watt resistors (8 ohms each). attach them like speakers. turn it on half volume. they should get quite warm to the touch.

REMOVE THE RCA INPUTS AND DISCONNECT THE SPEAKERS AND POWER THE AMPLIFIER UP WITH THIS NO INPUT, NO SPEAKER LOAD CONDITION. IF IT STILL GOES INTO PROTECTION AND YOU HAVE VERIFIED THAT THE POSITIVE AND ESPECIALLY THE GROUND CONNECTIONS, ALONG WITH THE REMOTE CONNECTIONS ARE 100%, THEN THE AMPLIFIER WILL NEED TO BE SERVICED. by jump do you mean all it does is thump and no sound besides thumping noise? if so put a better ground on your amp, double grounds work the best. please reply

black (-) - ground - 2 amp's power inlet ground (-)
deck yellow wire - remote - 2 the remote amp
deck outputs 2 the RCA amp inputs
amp RCA outputs 2 speakers
it is wise that a pro will install the system
it will give u less concerns and u will have warranty on the installation
this will save u the money u will spend for fixing a bad installation
