SOURCE: how to save my documents to lexar 2gb jumpdrive

You can simply drag the My Documents to the drive, that will make a copy. But you could also use the backup function of Windows (simply type 'backup ' in the Windows help and follow instructions).

SOURCE: When i plug in the jumpdrive on any computer it says USB device not recognized, please help

Well, it’s a super simple solution! No need to edit the registry, uninstall drivers, or anything of that sort.
Simply UNPLUG YOUR COMPUTER FROM THE POWER SUPPLY
Yes that’s it! Note that this does not mean just turning off your computer because modern computers don’t really turn off when you press the power button as the motherboard still gets power.

First to explain, the motherboard is where all of hardware of the computer is connected to, including the USB ports. Sometimes the motherboard needs to be “rebooted” also because something can go wrong, i.e. all your USB ports suddenly stop working. The small microprocessor on the motherboard will reload the drivers and your USB ports should be back to recognizing all devices!
So first turn off your computer using Shut Down or pressing the power button and then UNPLUG it from the wall outlet. Let it sit for about a minute and then plug it back in.
Hope this helps someone fix that pesky “USB device not recognized” Windows error!

P.S. if it is a laptop, power up the laptop with just the batteries, not plugged in to fix this issue.

Give this a try and come back to tell us if it worked or not.

Upload the files to the jumpdrive. Remove jumpdrive from computer 1 and insert in computer 2. When computer 2 recognizes the jumpdrive, copy the files to a directory folder where you want to save the music. Unplug the jumpdrive.

Have you tried it on other pc's? It may be a bad usb port on your pc, Or, it may have gone bad.Try it on several different pc's and try other jumpdrives on your pc. If all is ok, the jumpdrive is bad, all data is lost. This happens sometimes when you unplug a jumpdrive with out turning it off in windows first.

Lexar Jumpdrive Secure II problem

the directory is corrupted.
when your computer accesses the drive, it knows some things, like how big it was.
but it does not know where the data is.
it does not see anything that tells it what is on the drive, thus the empty window.
not a serviceable unit if the mfg will not give you a fix it program.
sorry for the news.
