Which mean you can access data service, internet service or everything else only from your sim card network provider. So if you use an att sim card on your mobile phone, there is no way to download verizon web browser and why you need verizon web browser? Why you just not to use att web browser? To test your phone already unlocked or not is by replace that original sim card with another sim card from other network provider. If you can't make a call using your new sim card maybe you have wrong blackberry unlock code, which mean your phone not yet unlocked. The sim wont work because it is locked to the att network which means it will only work with att sim cards.

You will have to unlock the phone from the att network before it can work with the T mobile sim card

You should contact your network provider so as to get steps to unlocking your phone from the att network or you should contact a repairer to help you unlock it

I actually work for a cell phone company as a tech....all you have to do is have your ATT phone unlocked! You will need to contact ATT on another phone (not the phone you're trying to unlock!) and let them know that you need an unlock code for your ATT device...they should be able to give you the unlock and instructions to unlock your device...if anything just the unlock code (if you have had previous service or service with ATT)...if they can't give it too you right away on the phone they will have to send off your information to the manufacture and will get you the unlock code within 3-5 buisness days. (if you have had previous service or service with ATT)...I can't stress enough that you must have an account or use to have an account with ATT...they don't do if for free because all carriers are charged everytime they request unlock codes. If they can't get it for you. You can get it unlocked by a 3rd party vendor that will charge a small fee to unlock your device, but make sure your sim card works in it before you leave the vendor to make sure they are legit and actually unlocked it for you! you have to call and get the new sim card activated with that phone even if it already is activated thier network has to update the information i believe

most probably you have not switch on the wireless mode. make sure you have wireless mode ON. than it will ask you for network code. than you can enter the code. or also make sure you are putting sim card in correct direction.

Go to att.com log in to your account and under phone devices there is a link to obtain a puk code but it has to be entered using Att phone. That was how I unlocked my sim card.

I also have a x426 from 2003 and it wont work with the new ATT sim cards either, This is because of the Cingular/ATT merger which created a new network. The older original ATT phone must be unlocked to use a sim card from the new merged network. Try calling ATT Mobility customer service and request the subsidy unlock code. They are required to give it to you upon request, but it takes several days usually to get the code. I know because I used to work at a ATT call center.
