Fedders room air conditioner

We unplugged the unit and now it will not power on. We tried to remove the front (removed the 2 screws first) and cannot get it off. WE are looking for the reset button as maybe that is the problem. All the standard troubleshooting has been done. How do we get the cover off and where is the reset button? model number is ALX08F2BCOM

Look for a red reset button on the plug.

There is no reset switch on the plug for my model A6X08F2A. i took unit apart and found that from unplugging it over the years caused the terminals to come out of AC in and ground on the panel. plugged terminals back in and cleaned inside and it runs like a champ.

My everstar blows hot air out the back and cold air in front i want all cold air

this style unit needs an exhaust hose attached to the rearand be placed out the window to exhaust the heat that is removed from the air in the room, you will also have to empty the condensate drain bucket when it gets full.

I have removed the two screws located on either side of the front panel of the air conditioner but cannot get the panel off. Please advise.

just take a moment to look a bit more carefully at the unit. Just lift a bit and pull or the might be a screw you missed.

Have old fedders a/c and heater. Seems to rub on something when using and makes noise. Need to remove front or back cover to see what is making noise. Can't find anyway to remove either cover. ...

All depends how old. The 70's and 80's models slid out of the case. If this is what you have, take the front off and slide the unit out of the case. If it had screws to take out, they would be around the bottom of the unit.

Need to remove through wall fedder air conditioner

If it has a sleeve, just remove the front cover and give a little yank on the unit and it will start sliding out of the sleeve. Unplug the unit first, and the unit will slide all of the way out of the sleeve and you can just set it on the floor or wherever.

My m6x06f2a-f is leaking from the front water is coming out the outside of the unit ok . also how do you take the front cover off i removed the 2 screws on the side but can't remove the cover.

Lift the left and right side straight up till you feel each side pop out. Then it comes straight off. I can't find a manual, but this maytag would be a Fedders-Airwell air conditioner with the same model numbers but starting w/ an A instead of an M.

How do I remove the front panel to clean the coils in the front? I have the panel free at the top, bottom and sides but seems to be hanging up/caught in the middle, between and below the vents? Fedder...

front panel has one phillips screw in it. remove the air filter and you will see it. Once you remove the screw, grasp the lower front sides of the cover, where the plastic meets the metal, and gently pry it outwards and towards you. there are plastic clips that hold the cover in place. One on each lower side and three on top.

Fedders won't turn on

you probably blew the fuse behind the control panel. remove the front cover and then remove the control panel (usually a few screws). There should be a glass fuse attached to the circuit board. If its blown then just replace it and you're good to go.

8 flashes, bad IAT

Take the buttons off of your unit and remove the board cover by taking out the 2 screws on each side holding it in.  You will See on the right hand side of the board 4 post specifically , 2 for your indoor thermistor and 2 for your outdoor.  unplug your inddor  from the board ( make sure power is off)   and there should be a plate you can remove on the front of the unit on the right hand side of your evaporator coil , remove this and disconnect your thermistor from the coil (should snap right off )   pick up a new thermistor and just slide it right back in.
