SOURCE: scanning from Canon MP530 to Mac Powerbook

If you;ve installed the MP Navigator software from the CD, then you should be able to press the scan button on the printer with your Mac connected and the MP navigator will open automatically on your Mac ready to scan. You can also try going into Preview (the Mac app) and from the file menu select Import... and it should open a scan window.  Hope this helps!

SOURCE: Printing a book from Word using duplex printing

In the Printing Preferences window, on the Page Setup tab, you have already selected Duplex Printing and Automatic. If your book is to be bound on the long side, you should have 'Long-side stapling . . ' selected in the window below that.

If that is what you have selected and the pages are printing wrong, try the 'Short-side stapling . . .' option.

SOURCE: Canon PIXMA 530 grinds away

I had a persistant grinding noise about 30 seconds after the printer finished printing. It's been going on about 2 months. I did one thing which seemed to work. So try opening the cover on the back of the machine by lifting upward on the gray lever in the middle of the back of the machine. Leave this cover open during and after printing. The grinding noise went away.

I have a MFC7860DW, How do I set it to collate copies?

You can download the manual from here: Reference page 24: "Collate With the Collate check box selected, one complete copy of your document will be printed and then repeated for the number of copies you selected. If the Collate check box is not selected, then each page will be printed for all the copies selected before the next page of the document is printed."

I have a hp psc 2210 all-in-one recently when I go to print a letter, etc. the printer has the collated box checked. I would love to delete the collate option from my printer.

one way to reset the settings would be to remove and then reinstall everything related to the printer.

you could try going

start -> control panel -> printers and faxes -> your printer, right click properties -> find the setting and uncheck it.

I believe you have to identify the accesories that are on the copier. I think you go to the printers section of the control panel on Windows. Right click the copier, select properties, then device settings. Look to see if you can change any of the options. If not you may have to reinstall the print drivers. Hope this helps.

Why do multiple copies sometimes staple together as one set instead of multiple sets?

I don't know how/why, but if you set the Print settings (main print screen) to non-collate and the Printer Properties (clicking in to get to the staple option) to collate, it works correctly, stapling each set individually.

Printing only black

How long ago did color print correctly? If it is more than two weeks your cartridge has dried out and must be replaced. A test page including all colors and black is included in lexmark and dell printer programs. It should be run every week minimum and daily in hot, dry environments.

KONICA MINOLTA C450 VXL Printer - When stapling multiple copies it staples all the copies together rather than each one separately as required. I use vista operating system.

There is an issue with the Konica Print Driver and the MS Print Driver. If Collate is turned on in both the drivers, you will get this problem.

The solution is to turn off Collate on one of the Drivers. Usually you will have an initial Print Dialog window that pops up when you can select your printer, how many copies and if to collate or not. De-select Collate. Then you should also see Preferences Tab. If you select that tab, select Collate and Staple, your print jobs should now Collate and Staple correctly.
