I would suggest that you make a special box for it but it entails a lot work right? I might as well recommend that you browse E Corrugated. They have a wide range of boxes and cases for shipping. You may find something there that suits your requirements. They are a manufacturer of boxes and cases specially designed for shipping whether overseas or locally. You can talk to a staff of the company with your requirements and surely they will have something for you. You also label your box with 'upside down' and 'handle with care' or 'fragile' to ensure that the carriers will know it and ensure that your package is in good hands. Talk to the carrier about it and know how they ship it without being damaged.

tip

Keep your box!

In this day in age a single component on a product can go bad and ruin your new toys (TV, printer, cell phone, etc.) One thing you have to be very aware of is that in most cases your warranty does not cover shipping expense as well as packaging materials. It is easier to convince a company to pay for your shipping than it is to provide packaging materials and these materials can be expensive. One good example is a TV, you have to package it correctly to have it shipped to a repair center and it has to get there in one peace. FedEx, UPS, and other carriers don't always handle your products with care and damages made during shipping can only be charge back to the carrier if you can prove it was packaged correctly. The best thing you can do is save your box. A lot of times you don't have the room or space to store it but you can always break down the box and store it in the attic or garage along with the foam to protect the product. Remember there is no better packaging to a product than the original packaging material intended for the product.

I need too seperate top from bottom so i can move my tv, whats the best way

the BEST way is to use professional movers, as usually when self moved they end up in someones workshop, or the scrap heap. Moving these units without special equipment and packaging is thwart with peril. You must be very very careful,it is best to ship it, as one unit. I see so many units that have been moved by the owner, and not done correctly, you need padding and NO jarring it knocks, it must be done Oh so carefully. In ONE unit. They ate just to delicate for words. get it moved by professionals you will not be sorry. Otherwise take extreme care also when transporting it MUST be vibration free. and packaged like glass.

You've got an expensive unit (see below for Press Release), with a built-in CD/DVD reader/writer.
Given that your unit could be six years old, it's possible that the reader/writer has "died".

It seems to be a "stand-alone" unit -- not something that requires either Mac OSx or Windows XP/Vista/7 to operate.

I'm guessing that _ANY_ IDE (not 'SATA') HP-brand reader/writer, provided that it has a "LightScribe" capability, could be purchased, and could be inserted to replace the "dead" reader/writer. For about $100, it's worthwhile to try this "substitution" to revive your unit.

International Shipping

Greetings jayantbhalla,

Unfortunately we do not offer international shipping at this time. One solution I have recommended before was to have an item shipped to a friend or relative in the states and have them send to you.

I hope this helps.

Thank you,

Agent Dort.
