Have Toshiba studio 450 & UbuntuX-Ser (computer name) with shared disk space via Samba. Have set Toshiba with save to file with \\UbuntuX-Ser\homes\john\store1\A_Scan as the folder to save scanned...

why not just use the public scan folder if you search network places for the machine IP there is a folder there called scans which is a public folder so everyone can use it.

CAN'T CONNECT INTERNET USING USB BROADBAND TO LAPTOP DELL STUDIO 15

try to check if there are requirements that must be met in order to use the usb broadband. try checking the TCP/IP configuration on your network settings. And set it as dynamic.
Because the usb broadband will be responsible in assigning ip address to you so you can connect to their server and use the internet. .

I hope this works
Thank you :)

Problem with fax on estudio 3511

When enabling the Offramp Gateway, this equipment works as an SMTP server to receive
Emails from the Internet. To enable the STMP transmission in this equipment, designate the hostname (or specific domain) that relates to this equipment in the DNS server, and designate the MX record to receive the Emails that are sent to the equipment’s domain in the SMTP server in your local area network. Then the SMTP server should be configured to transmit the received Emails to the equipment in the SMTP transmission. For example, if the hostname of this equipment is designated as “host1.ifax.com”, the SMTP server receives an Email whose forwarding address is “<account name>@host1.ifax.com”, and the SMTP server transmits the received Email to the equipment. Then this equipment will send the received Email as a facsimile document to the fax number that is specified in the <account name> part.

Setup Procedures:
1. Setting up the DNS server and SMTP server.
2. Setting up the TCP/IP and the HTTP Network Service to enable TopAccess
3. Setting up the SMTP Network Service.
4. Setting the Internet Fax Settings.
5. Setting up the Fax Settings
6. Registering the Relay Box with Email addresses.

Compatability issues with Toshiba e-studio 350 copier and Windows Vista

This copier must have the latest firmware installed, a print enabler and you must have the latest print driver in order for Vista to be supported. All of this is available from a certified Toshiba dealer. Also, you can check to see if the copier is working by inserting the Cat5 cable to the copier from your network and typing in the IP address (found under the Administrator tab on the touch panel of the copier) into the URL bar of your browser. A web page will pop up showing the machine is active.
