Memory card not working

Insert a microSD card


Use only compatible microSD cards approved by Nokia for use with this device. Nokia uses approved industry standards for memory cards, but some brands may not be fully compatible with this device. Incompatible cards may damage the card and the device and corrupt data stored on the card.

1. Remove the back cover of the phone.

2. Insert the card into the microSD card slot with the contact surface facing down, and press it until it locks into place.

First of all,make sure that you're inserting the approved type of memory card.
According to nokia company,nokia N70 supports for RS-DV-MMC cards.

If you're using the correct card,make sure the card is clean enough.You can clean the card by using a soft dry cloath like cotton cloth-DO NOT USE ANY LIQUID-.
After doing so,re-insert the card and check.

If the above step doesn't helps,insert the cleaned memory card into a card reader and check whether the computer can open the card.If it can,backup all the data on the memory card and format the card.Then insert the card into the phone and do a format to the card againg via phone.After that you can restore the data back to the memory card.

If all the above methods didn't work,then may be your memory card is burned out..

Memory card is not working in my nokia 2730 classic device, even if i insert other mem.card which is working in other phones, the memory card option is not seen in my nokia 2730c device.Can any 1 assist me to fix this problem??!!!!.

If you have a memory cars remove it and restart your phone.It usually works.Now,back up your data in memory card and format it.Fill the memory card only to its half the space.Try working the phone after inserting the memory card.If the problem is still there, then,you have to stop using your memory card or reinstall phone firmware.

If you don't have a memory card then, delete all the messages( Inbox ,Sent item etc).Clear the phone memory(delete images,themes etc).You may backup these things before deleting.
Now restart the phone.
If the phone doesn't stay long enough to do these things then,connect to a computer and do it.

ur memory card may damaged or used password in memory card. pls check other phone to confrm

memory card is currupted. or remove memory card clean contacts with pencil eraser and insert it again. if it works good or replace memory card

now using a memory card reader format it i fat32 file system
now insert it in your phone it will work

Well you could get a microSD card reader or a SD card in which you insert the microSD card to your computer with an SD card reader. Then go into "MY COMPUTER" and find the memory card, it should be like "G:\" Right click over that and choose "FORMAT" and click "ENTER" and after format insert into your phone again. If not then most likely the memory card is just dead. So you would need to buy a new one.
