I have a Lexmark C532dn printing from a Mac PowerBook G4 running OS X 10.4.11. Every time I print (EXCEPT when printing the Info pages stored directly in the printer) I get red blinking light and a message on the printer saying, "Load MP feeder Plain Paper Letter". So, I take paper out of Tray 1, the tray I've asked it to print from, and put it in the manual feed tray. I've tried setting paper feed to Tray 1 (instead of Auto), and have had no success. I have also reinstalled the printer software that came with the printer... no luck. As previously mentioned, when I print an Info page directly from the printer, it will successfully draw paper from Tray 1. Help!
I had this issue on my sisters Mac. But on my Imac pro it worked fine. What i found that worked for A4 sized paper is to use the US 216 by 279 paper size and it worked without doing the manual feed. She has been trying to resolve this issue for the past 2 years contacting Lemark and everyone under the sun with no luck. But i just thought that i would share this so anyone else can ensure that they dont have to do that painful manual feed option.
Check your printer settings.
Sometimes if your printer or the program you are printing from has the paper source set to "Letter" it waits for you to press the continue key on the printer which allows you to insert headed note paper before printing.
If it is set to letter, change it to A4 and this should solve your problem
You may need to change this in both the printer settings and/or each program from which you are printing
