SOURCE: Jvc RX 8020 receiver won't

I'd suspect one of the controls that would be overriden by analog direct is unknowingly activated. LOOK at the front panel and interpret every indicator for how it could cause silence. Refer to the manual for those you don't understand.

Any Tape Monitor activation would disable digital sources completely.

See page 14 for how Line Direct affects DSP modes.

Where is the microcomputer located in the jvc rx6030v?

Hello
The microcomputer, otherwise called as system control can be located on its main board. Some sets will have it on its front panel baord, along with the display unit board.

Jvc RX 8020 receiver won't play when in DSP or Surround modes no sound at all, can only get sound in analog direct. Owned for 6 yrs. first problem ever!

I have a JVC RX-801VBK. When I turn the power on it clicks on and shuts of. please help

the problem is probably a bad power transformer that will need to be replaced the best way is to contact JVC and they will be able to help you more. it may be easier to purchase a new reciever.

JVC RX-6042S shuts down after 5 seconds

It will be one of the transistors that regulate the lower volatges (5V, 12V...)
I ffixed mine. the heatsinking on those transistors is pathetic, and its no wonder they dont last.
Mine was the 5V circuit, which also supplies the DSP board. so if you are getting a DSP NG, that could be that as well.
Check Q1434 and Q1404. if one is faulty, it drags the other one down with it.
Good luck.
