Our cloths are snaging between the dryer door and the front wall on the handle side of the door (left side). There so stuck that they rip a hole in them when we free them.

Sounds like you front drum support / bearing is wearing out. When the support wears out, a gap occurs between the drum and drum support, That is where the clothes are getting caught, Does your dryer squeak when running? If so, then replace the front drum support / bearing. Cost about $35 - $40.

You can purchase net bags that are designed to avoid exactly that problem - you put your items inside the bag and put the bag in the dryer.

Search ebay for 'laundry net bag'

Hope this helps.

Some sort of felt type insulation has come off the inside back of the dryer. I have had the dryer not quite 3 years. Is there some sort of warranty or solution to this. It is tearing clothes.

You need to check your owners manual about the warranty, most likely it just carried 1 year warranty. The felt is what the drum glides on, and if it ripped, the tub will have a gap for cloths to get snagged and rip. The felt glide will need replaced, but, you need to check the edges of the tub for sharp or metal burrs, or it will just rip the new felt. good luck, Shane

Gas dryer not drying clothes

Hi, Dryers are simple machines to fix yourself so the main reasons dryers do not dry cloths is listed below.
1. Make sure the vent is clear from obstruction of lint built up by taking off vent and make sure the vent flap is opening when dryer is on, beware most house fires are caused by neglect of dryer vent!
2. People allot of times overload machine which causes cloths not to dry.
3. Electrical Repair Needed: one of the thermostats in the dryer are defective

Not drying adequately

There are only one element in the system. if your system is not drying the clothes properly then you should really check the temp sensor to make sure that the system is working correctly and not shutting off at the wrong time or to early and not really heating up properly
