I have the same problem and am trying to get a hold of them for the problem to be fixed. They keep telling me to clean the lense, or re download the books. The laser light won't even turn on. I can listen to the books just fine!!

You can find a replacement pens on Ebay. There are several out there and I think this one would be right for you (works out to be around AUD 15): Leapfrog Pen

no the on in the link is a fly pen 1.0 the one where you have a usb on the top is the fly pen 2.0
