Make sure it is not the fill tube from the ice maker first. Yes I would think ice or sludge is blocking the defrost drain and causing water to flow into freezer and then to the floor. Here is more about leaking refrigerators=> Leaking Refrigerators
Every refrigerator is made different so these are examples only. The key is to find if ice or just gunk has blocked you defrost drain. Unplug and then remove the rear panel in back of freezer. We need to see if the water is overflowing the condensate drain tray or if the blockage is in the turn the drain leads down back of your refrigerator. If you run into any problems along the way of repair please let me know, Thanks, Sea Breeze

Your freezr drain is blocked or frozen. What you need to do is remove the ice rack then in the front of the freezer you will see 2 or 3 plastic plugs on the freezer floor remove the plugs and there might aso be some 1/4 inch screws farther in on the freezer floor. also remove the back of the back of the freezr and then lift out the bottom floor. under the evaporator you will see a lot of ice or just fod blocing the drain. I will bet its all full of ice. Carefully remove all the ice and hot water will help once you get the buk of it out. The hot water will make sure the drain is not blocked with ice. Once its al clear install in the reverse order and things should be good. This is a common problem with this unit.Good Luck

SOURCE: Leaking water INTO fridge

Your problem is a blocked drain which prevents melt water from the defrost from getting out. You'll have to expose the coils and find the drain hole. It is possible that the problem can be on the other end of the hose...where it hits the evaporation pan in the bottom of the unit.

SOURCE: haier fridge- freezer fine, fridge not getting

The small cooling fan in the freezer compartment that sends chilled air to the food side is defective and needs replacement.  Sometimes that are only frozen stuck.

How do I fix my leaking fridge

There is a drain pan in the freezer that has to catch the water when it defrosts. The pan or the tubing from the pan is plugged up. See if the tubing comes out the back. It should drain into the bottom of the unit under the refrigerator and there is another pan there that catches the water. The heat from the condenser coil evaporates the water.

Water has collected and frozen at the bottom of the freezer compartment. From time to time I get small leaks on the floor beneath.

There is a drain tube from freezer/fridge and stops under the fridge and allows water to drip into an evaporator tray. The drain tube/hose can get blocked up, it is very common. Free up the tube and you will be good to go. Sometimes just snipping on the very bottom to make a larger drain hole works too.

Water leaking from front base of freezer

Clean the drain pan and drain line in the back of the freezer section underneath the evaporator coil. Make sure water drains when you pour it in. If it doesn't - also clean drain tube on the back of the unit behind the cover. When done - put the tube exactly where it was.
Good luck! :)

Amana Model #TX20NBW FREEZES food in the fridge AND leaks water

Sounds as if the thermostat setting is too high.
Not a good idea to pour warm water into the fridge while its going, but then again. Most drain tubes exit over the compressor into a container sitting atop it. But I've since learned there are now fridges that don't have compressors now? You should also check the door seals, you can do this with a sheet/piece of newspaper
inserted between the door and fridge, go around both doors, you'll soon know if the seals need replacing.

Water leaking out the front freezer door... the bottom of freezer unit has water pooled in it frozen... melts and runs out the door

The defrost drain hole in the bottom rear portion of the freezer is frozen shut. Turn off the fridge, use a hair dryer to defrost the drain hole. Pour a 1/4 cup bleach into the hole after is is cleared out. Turn the fridge back on.

Our Haier refrigerator is leaking water below the freezer. It is coming from only one side. How to fix?

Hi,
The reason for your fridge to leak water on floor sounds like your defrost drain is frozen over. When the refrigerator is going into defrost it's draining through the front instead of the drain pan. You can remove the shelves and peel off the back cover and clear the drain by pouring hot water on the frozen drain hole. If you have a boaster of some sort you could try to squirt the hot water through the venting on the bottom of the panel. Another way to point a hair dryer on the drain hole. The best method is to remove the shelves and panel and make sure the drain is clear.

Whirlpool fridge getting water from upper freezer compartment

well if you hat the freezer on top normaly air leaks inside freezer through the drain tube, that air turns into condensation and creates a ice and cloges your drain. now water can drain down to pan everytime ref goes into defrost , and water leaks to bottom section to air ducts and air returns. there are several ways to solve this problem the cheapeste way is to unplug refrigerator for 2 days then plug back up and it should go back to normal another way is to install a heat probe on your drain attached to your defrost heater , and add a grommet on drain tube that will let water drain but it will keep air out and that will solve your problem.

Sub-Zero 550 water dripping on right side of freezer forming ice on draw

I had a similar issue that started about a year ago with my Sub-Zero 550. My freezer gasket actually tore after several times of freezing closed. I thought that a new gasket would solve it, but a second but related problem developed where I was getting alot of condensation under the left side of the unit, with the water dripping onto the floor...eventually staining the hardwood floor in front of the unit.

I traced the problem to a clogged condensation drain pipe in the refrigerator. It is a corrugated pipe that drains a trough behind the crisper drawers. My pipe was clogged with black sludge and frozen down below. The condensation in the fridge would overflow out of the trough and leak below the crisper drawers, down out through the gasket.

To resolve, I used a piece of solid thin wire folded in half and twisted with a small loop at the end to fish out as much sludge as I could. Then squirted hot water into the pipe until it totally unclogged. I believe this will solve the problem without any need for a heater underneath the unit. The 550 worked fine for 4-5 years before this happened.

Clogged fridge drain tube

The drain is behind the back panel in the freezer at the bottom. Sounds like it is frozen over which is pretty common. Will need to remove panel and thaw out drain by running hot water down. You can use a putty knife to break up ice first. Make sure you get all ice around the drain above and below the thin aluminum tray at the bottom. After the drain is free don't be alarmed if you get some water on the floor because the drain pan may not hold all of the water you ran down the drain. Not anything you can do to prevent this on this model.
