DCS 4 burner plus griddle Range..oven doesn't heat

My DCS 4 burner Range plus griddle (natural gas)..the oven doesn't heat. The stovetop works fine, but the oven doesn't work/heat up. It was in my house when I bought it so I do not have a manual. Thanks.

I have the same range, DCS 4-burner with griddle, and I had the same problem. The service guy replaced the igniter and the thermostat, and the oven works now. This is the 2nd time in 11 years I have had the oven igniter and thermostat replaced.

I do not recommend this range. In 11 years, he oven has gone out twice (see above), the oven door hinges needed to be replaced, the griddle has gone out twice, and the broiler has gone out twice. When the griddle or broiler do work, they are sketchy when they light: There is a long pause, followed by a large ka-wooomp when the gas finally lights.

Maybe the newer DCS ranges are better, but buyer beware.

This happened to my DCS when the Hot Wire Relay went out. It isn't an expensive part, but finding someone that knows what needs to be replaced, and then can replace it is hard. My oven also did the opposite and continued to heat without shutting off, and it was once again the hot wire relay.

I don't have a solution but a follow up question... when your oven went out, did the broiler still work? My stovetop, grill plate and broiler all work fine, but my oven doesn't light. When it did work, it had the same delay, kawhooomp sound described above. The delay and noise became worse and worse until it stopped lighting altogether.

Please assist in determining I have the right parts to convert my gas range from NATURAL gas to LP.

It is a gas appliance and can only be worked on by a registered gas technician. They will connect a device called a 'manometer' to precisely check and adjust the gas pressure. The all need regulating for every appliance as it is dependent on the mains gas pressure.

We have a DCS 48 inch range and the small oven door is bent. Has burned outside cabinet.

Hi,

Please set up an appointment with a handyman with a site like Angi or Home Depot repair services to get an intial diagnostic. You might need to have the whole door replaced as the current oven door is safety hazard.

Thank you.

DCS RGS slow to preheat

You didn't state whether you used a DCS conversion kit or not. I was able to find conversion instructions for a model similar to yours (not an exact match) but it will give you an idea as to what all is involved.

Thermador Gas Range - Griddle ignition will not spark

I have a Thermador Gas Range PG364GDBS - Oven, 4 burners, and center griddle. All are gas. The four burners and gas oven work fine. The griddle just stopped working, no spark. Turning on the griddle control, the gas valve opens(hear it), gas flows (smell it), but the ignitor will not spark (no loud or faint spark that I can hear). I got a replacement ignition device (mount at the burner) thinking it might be the problem, but still no spark. I checked the AC voltage at the terminal and measured 39 VAC between the terminal and ground. Not sure if that is the correct voltage. Any insights or advice would be great.

Both ovens do not heat max heat is 150 to 200

good luck.  We have the same range and have had issues with the ovens since the range was installed.  The overn does not heat evenly on convenction or bake.  Thermadore doesn't stand behind the product and neither does the distributor.  They tell us that Thermador isn't standing behind the product so there isn't anything that can be done.  We spent $8000 for an oven that burns the back corners of everything we bake.

Blinking oven and heating Lights

for no reason the cleaning light went on, even though the oven was not on. The oven light and heating light were alternating each blinking 5 times. The door locked up, too. It seemed to think it was in a cleaning cycle. Any way, problem solved by throwing off the main breaker and all is working fine since... except now, for no reason the oven fan, not the exhaust fan, stays on all the time!
