UpGraded 2 Windows 8 and DVD CD Ram fails to work,,, Any Advice Please
This is a common problem with a new OS upgrade. Try to use Win 7 drivers. Modtify the drivers to be compatible with Win 8. Most times this will work, not always. Try here for Win 7 32 or 64 bit drivers: http://uk.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp?service=UK&mode=allMachines&action=search&teddProduct=6017&selShortMod=1041

SOURCE: upgrade ram on HP LAPTOP COMPAQ NX9010
Ok, so you just got more Hard disk space, or a new bigger Hard disk. Of course you need t upgrade the Ram memory. This computer supports Ram memory up to 1 Gb with a max frequency of 266Mhz. You probably have 256Mb or 512Mb of Ram Memory. You can go to any computer store and get it upgraded. It shouldn't be expensive. But don't forget :
Use this tyoe of RAM: DDR SDRAM (266 MHz), Upgradeable to 1GB
By the way, even after the upgrade, I advise you to run a Defrag of your Hard Disk and clean all your temp files.
There is a free and easy software to clean all temp and internet temp files: Ccleaner.
SOURCE: Problem with upgrading my acer extensa 5620z memory to 4GB
The Extensa 5620z comes with 1GB of DDR2 memory. That's two sticks of 512MB. This unit technically supports 4GB; 2 x 2GB modules. However, unless you're running a 64-bit operating system (if you have to ask how you'd know, trust me... you're not) then only about 3GB will be usable. There's no fix for this, it's just a fact. All standard 32-bit operating systems are coded this way
If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.

SOURCE: How to expand/upgrade the HDD memory on Toshiba NB200/205?
It is always possible to upgrade to a larger HDD as they are pretty much standard for all makes. If you replace your current hard drive then you will have to re-install your O/S and all your programmes on it. A better option would be a fast external HDD. You can get 1.5TB, 7200rpm for around £100. This is the best option if you are simply looking for more storage, This will not improve the overall performance of your machine but will allow you to store more stuff.
