The ZR200 is able to read a card of maximum of 2 Gbytes !!!

The 4 GB SD card it is a so called SDHC = Secure Digital High Capacity ! Every SD card with more than 2 G Bytes it is a High Capacity and the old hardware will not be able to use these SDHC.

Card error as I put it inside canon camera sandisk sdhc with adapter

The ZR200 works with SD cards, not with SDHC cards. While the SDHC card fits, it is electronically incompatible.

Canon zr 200 camcorder won't turn on unless plug into electrical outlet.

Hi, Please charge your battery ( with camcoder Off) for at least 1 hour. Then unplug your charger and turn On your camcoder. If it can not turn on, it is apparently you have flat battery and need replacement.

Canon ZR200 keeps reading "card error"

Format the card with the camera. If that doesn't work, format the card as FAT (not FAT32) file system with your PC.
