Roper gas dryer wont get hot
The first thing to check is the thermal fuse. It is located in the back of the dryer, and you need to remove the back panel to get to it, which involves taking out about a dozen screws. To check it, unplug the dryer, pull the wires off the thermal fuse, connect them to each other with an alligator clip lead, plug the dryer in and see if the dryer gets hot.

http://www.pcappliancerepair.com/model-display.php This is a good site for parts and help. You can see the screws #2 holding the front on. Release the spring clips #20 with a putty knife in the gap on the front.

Check all your connections. Must be a loose wire somewhere.

If you try it again tomorrow and it works at first but quits again then you need to replace the coils. I have repair photos HERE

Assuming you have removed the lower access panel (two or three scres all the way at the bottom of the lower front panel) to view the glow plug (ignitor), if you see the ignitor cycle on but the gas does not ignite after the machine initially heated in the beginning of the cycle you will want to replace your gas valve coils. They are the round black things mounted to the top of your gas valve.
This should solve your problem.
Good luck to you!!
