I have the sdr-h40p and just installed the videocam suite. I then connected my camcorder to my pc and it is not being detected. I have directx 9.0c loaded on my pc. what can i do?

Return it ! this camera sucks and the interface too! shame on panasonic for putting a crappy product!

Make sure you have the A/C adaptor pluged in. I just got one and found that you can't connect to PC for video transfers using the battery. I don't know why, but that's how it works. It doesn't make much sense to me...
