Your transformer on your power supply is bad, i would recomend replacing the power supply, usually when the transformer goes bad , it damages other things on the board, should be around a 200$ part
you can replace it yourself, about 6 connectors, and 6 screws, after you get the back off, you should to be able to order it through there websiteyou can replace it yourself, about 6 connectors, and 6 screws, after you get the back off, you should to be able to order it through there website

Hi Richard,
An original Sansui stand could be expensive try to find a universal stand to suit your TV here are some that should accommodate your TV: MISC STAND 3755BB 37 55 Lcd led plasma Stand
You have a short on one of the drive boards making the power supply squeal. You will have to unplug each board until the squeal is no longer there. Which ever board it is will have to be replaced. Thanks for using fixya.
it sounds like one of the boards are going out I would call sylvania and check with there service dept maybe they can send a tech and part out under warranty
The most likely the TV has a power supply related problem. The most common thing to go out is the circuit board that supply power to the screen. Commonly called a Backlight Inverter Board. I can't say it's 100% the problem because I can't actually look at the tv over the internet. If by chance the TV is still under warranty, go that route. If not under warranty and If you have some electronic experience, you can purchase a Service Manual over the internet and diagnose the source of the problem and fix it by soldering in the new part. The Service Manual will give you circuit diagrams, test points, and part# lists. Usually, cost under $20.
I had the same issue. Turned out to be a blown capacitor on the power board.
