My stand broke and am tryign to repalce. I purchased a repalcement but it did not come with the neck that goes into the TV. Even after speaking to Samsung they cant tell me where to find this neck. The TV is only 3 years old and works great. Any idea where this neck can be purchased?
Do you by chance have a pic of your old broken neck? I have a few Samsung pedestals in stock.
I do not have that piece. It broke and after looking online and seeing I could replace I threw it out. I ordered this piece twice from two different places and both came wthout the neck..I even contacted Samsung and they couldnt help with replacement.
Do you have a picture of the base?? I have a few of those necks in stock but don't know if they are the size you need.

I talked to a Samsung support helpline and it needs to be taken to a service center for repair.
SOURCE: sound yes, but no picture on tv
If you have sound on the stations this is a problem in the display. Take bright flashlight and hold it against the screen. Look for an image around the edge of the flashlight. If you see an image then it's one of three problems;
1) The inverter board is bad.
2) The CCFT (cold cathode fluoresent light) are bad.
3) The power supply to the inverter board is bad.
Someone knowledgeable in electronics can replace the bad part(s).

You need to do some more diagnosing of the problem. If you get sound and change channels take a bright flashlight and place it again the screen. Look for an image around the edge of the flashlight.
If you see an image that means the LCD controller board (TCON) is probably good.
The problem is probably one of three causes;
1) Inverter board is bad
2) CCFT (cold cathode fluorescent light) are bad.
3) Power to the inverter board is bad. You can also check the connectors.

The problem is 4 capacitors on the power supply board. Just had mine done under warranty. They (Sears) replaced the whole power board but you can get larger capacitors and just replace those for alot cheaper if not under warranty.

You are having another problem with the power board...there are some capacitors which are easily replaced to cave you the cost of the board. If you are technical,I can guide you further,other wise a reputable shop can fix this very reasonably
