I have a Mitsubishi WD 60738 and the stand by light on the front of the tv was staying on and was orange. I removed the power supply and blew out all the dust and reinstalled the power supply and now the...

Hello Jeff;
If the TV does not turn on or off, does not respond to the remote
control or the control panel buttons, or has audio but no video:
1.) Press and hold the POWER button on the control panel for ten seconds. The TV will turn off.
2.) Power on the TV and the green LED will flash quickly for about one minute. The changes you made most recently, before using SYSTEM RESET, may be lost.

If the TV does not respond to the remote control or to the control-panel buttons and TV will not power on or off.
• Unplug the AC power cord for 10 seconds.
• Press and hold the POWER button on the control panel for 10
seconds to perform a system reset.

If the TV turned itself off and the light on the front panel started to flash:
• Momentary power fluctuation can cause the TV to turn off to prevent damage. Wait for the green light to stop flashing and turn the TV on again.
• If the TV does not stay on, press the POWER button on the
control panel for ten seconds to perform a System Reset. If this happens frequently, obtain an AC line power conditioner/surge protector.
• An unusual digital signal may have been received, triggering a
protection circuit. Wait for the light to stop flashing and turn TV
on.

If the TV will not power off, press the POWER button on the control panel for ten seconds to perform a System Reset.

Should you still have problems, call for assistance at 1(800) 332-2119

I would not recommend using compressed air or any other method that would blow dust around- since the dust could make its way into the set's circuitry via the grille or vents and cause problems. Use a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment instead.

Timer is on and Tv will not come on

Press the System Reset Button which is on the RHS on control panel
If the TV fails to respond to the remote control, control panel
buttons, or will not power on/off, press the SYSTEM RESET button on the control panel.
The green LED on the front panel will flash quickly for up to one and a half minutes. When the green LED stops flashing, you may turn on the TV. Recent setting changes you made before using SYSTEM RESET may be lost.
If that fails try pressing and holding the menu button for 8 secs

Green timer light won't stop flashing on mitsubishi ws 73711.

the green light blinking is normal if set has been unplugged--when set is plugged back it should blink for about 70 seconds and then go out--then you can try to turn it on---it is the DM unit inside the set booting up.

If the light just blinks and never stops you have likely bad caps in the DM unit---there are kits available for that.

The other possible reason is that so called reset switch may be bad--fairly easy way to find that out and it is more common than you would think, let me know if you have questions.

62HM15 Toshiba DLP TV won't respond to remote or control panel

Blinking is a trouble code. Try unpluging for a longer time then hold power button in when pluging back in to try and reset.

Mitsubishi 55" rear projection TV, wouldn't turn off

um . that model doesn't have a reset button . but if no lights on front of the set even blink when you press the power button on the front or on the remote .then suspect front panel buttons ,with that model.

Flashing green light

Did you try this yet

SYSTEM RESET
If the TV will not respond to either the remote control
or the front panel controls and/or will not power Off,
press the SYSTEM RESET button with a pointed item
like the end point of a paperclip. The TV will turn Off
and the TIMER light will flash quickly for about one
minute. When the TIMER light stops flashing, you may
turn on the TV again. Changes you made the last time
the TV was On before you used the SYSTEM RESET
button may be lost, however, the changes you made
previously are not lost.
POWER/TIMER Indicator
The green light is a multi-function indicator. This light
will flash rapidly for about one minute each time the TV
is plugged into the wall electrical outlet, when power
is restored after a power failure, or using the SYSTEM
RESET button. Do not attempt to turn on the TV again
during this period. Wait for the flashing to stop and
the light to turn off, before attempting to turn the TV
on. While the TV is powered on, the light illuminates
steadily. If the TV has been programmed to turn on
automatically using the Timer feature,

Green power light will not stop flashing and tv will not turn on or off

You need to replace the 1000uf capacitors on the DM board thats the classic symptom of the DM caps being bad the light continues to blink repeatedly. If you need more info on the repair let me know.

Won't power up

This model has had problems with the keyboard buttons on the front panel, causing them not to work and canceling out the remote operation. To verify this, you need to remove the front panel so you can access the connector on the keyboard pc board and unplug the connector. After doing this, see if the remote control is able to turn on the tv (wait for it to power up because with the connector off, the green power light will be disconnected and will not light up when the tv is on) If the tv works, than you will need to change the ten individual switches on the board - part# 432P089010 (or just use the remote only)
