Camera does not recognize any sd card

Camera suddenly does not recognize SD card that has been used for a year. Tried different card - camera does not see new card. Reformatted original card in PC - still not recognized (cannot reformat in camera). Used canned air to blow out SD card slot (no dirt present) but camera still does not "see" SD card and displays: "No Memory Card." What to do?

See if camera electronics can be reset. Contact the manufacturer for this procedure. If nothing can be done to restore camera to factory defaults then the electronics are fubar. May not be cost effective to repair.

SOURCE: PC transfers files to and from SD memory card but

If you are putting pictures on the card using the computer and then expecting to see them on your camera, it doesn't work that way. You also run the risk of corrupting the card and even the camera.

When you disconnected the camera, did you use "eject" or just yank it out?

Note if sd card is installed is on the screen wont advance past that DGS 160. I have tried different SD card, hard booted, changed batteries, when I plug into computer interface, it doesn't recognize ...

Do you mean the DGS I-60? What size memory card are you using? The I-60 works with SD cards, 2GB or smaller. It will not work with higher-capacity SDHC cards.

Doesn't recognize SD Card (2 different Minox cameras). Tried 2 different 4GB cards, also tried formatting cards on computer (FAT32).

Minox DM 1 probably cannot use 'SDHC' cards, which have capacities of 4GB+ because it was introduced around 2005, when memory cards were designated 'SD' and had much lower capacity

The supplied card was only 128MB so you might start by trying one up to 1GB, or 2GB at most. Luckily SD cards have become relatively inexpensive!

Camera doesn't recognize the sd card, bypasses it

1) This camera accepts SD cards up to 4 GB in capacity. Most 4 GB SD cards however, are "SDHC" types (check the label to determine which type you are using). If you are using a 4 GB "SDHC" card, it may be causing the problem, as it is not an "SD" card. Furthermore, any card greater than 4 GB is not compatible with the camera. Any SD card with a capacity less than 4 GB should work without issue.

2) Check the position of the lock or "protect" tab on the side of a compatible SD card to be sure it is in the unlock position. The camera will be unable to write to a locked or protected card.

Memory Priority Problem

Try using an SD card reader on a PC and format the SD memory card that way.
Is it a cheap/generic card. Sometimes they are just not durable.
