I was trying to use self cleaning feature on Whirlpool electric range . After 20 mins it stopped with error message F5E0. What does that mean

check for obstruction in the door closeing latch/switch
f9-4 on a maytag means i cant close/lock door

it means that your switch on the lock is stuck in the wrong postion literally just fixed mine....lift up the heating elements of top and remove the 8 or so screws that are around the perimeter of the and it reveals the lock switch, myself i just kind of pushed on it to get it to go back haha...i pushed the lock part towards the left side and it slowly moved back on its own....

Large spots should be cleaned BEFORE starting self clean..The self clean can not be "paused" and continued..It has to be shut down and re started..

try unplugging the stove and NEVER run it in self clean, the expensive mexitronics will melt.

F5 - E0 F5 - E1 and E2 -------- this all codes relates to ----- Check door/latch switch ------------ clean it and check if stiil the same problem ---- Replace switch if defective

The door will remain locked until the unit cools, this is a safety feature.
