The TWO main reasons for an OTHERWISE functioning

to be accumulating water in the BOTTOM...

Least likely... your ICE-CUBE fill is set too HIGH...
hollow ice cubes is another "adjustment" that can
produce similar issues (but you'd have "SO" spoken
(no/yes??))...

Most likely... your ICE SERVICE chute has an
ICE CUBE or CHIP of ice blocking the DOOR
open...

This allows warm room AIR to cause
the ICE immediately next to the chute to
melt... Which will only further BLOCK the
chute door from proper closure (operation).

Hope YOUR PROBLEM is just hat EASY.

The problem you are having is caused by water leaking past the=> MJX42111401 Water Inlet Valve Change the MJX42111401 Water Inlet Valve and this will solve the water freezing between ice harvest. Check to be sure your ICE door chute is closed or closing properly! I have encountered many of these units that have had the flap break off the mounting tabs inside the dispenser opening. If the flap appears to be intact, I would next guess that your ice maker timing is allowing the ice maker to over fill and spill water into the ice bucket.
You can confirm this problem by looking at the ice maker and seeing if the ice cubes in it are filled right up to the center bar that drives the cubes out of the mold.

Replace the ice maker the tray is distorted.

You will probably need to replace your ice maker. There is a heater on the bottom that seperates the ice cube from the tray. More than likely this heater is defective, but it is all internal to the ice maker so you will need to replace the whole unit.

remove cube tray from ice maker. clean with limeaway adn rinse. Spray with a light coating of PAM cooking spray. wipe dry and reinstall. be careful not to damage the sensor ( in center of tray)

remove the ice cube tray assy, remove all the ice, save the cubes, wash the assy with warm water dry the assy, be sure the lever in the rear of this ice cube assy is moving and spring loaded, move the lever and it should snap back and return if so you know the unit is ok(the cube assy), now with the assy still out of the freezer close the freezer door and select crushed ice and push the pad where the glass normally hit to activate the ice cubes,if the operates and you here a thump and snap and hum most likely your ok,if not you could have a defective auger motor assy,but if you here all the sounds as decribed oped the freezer door and select cubed ice push actuator on despensor door with the freezer door closed, reopen and install the ice cube assy tray bucket assy,push it in firmley, and try it with some ice in the bucket you should be fine,if not replace auger motor assy..

I have a GE Profile PSW26P Stainless Steel Side by Side refrigerator that makes plenty of ice but will not dipense when the lever is pushed. The dispenser makes not sound when engaged. What do you think the problem is.

The ice maker system is pretty simple.. A motor rotates with a gear reduction system and as it rotates... a switch is tripped when the motor reaches a certain point on its rotation... that switch lets water in for a prescribed period of time ( normally that is adjustable) and then as the motor rotates some more.. the ice tray has had adequate time for that ice to freeze and is positioned for it to be released,..at that time.. a small heating element is energized to release those ice cubes and the cubes fall from the tray into the bucket.. Chances are your heater is not working, unplugged or defective.. I would start by thawing everything out and getting the system free of any and all ice.. If after you've cleaned it all up.. and it still fails to release ice..you could be over-filling your tray and that freezes .. which in turn causes the system to fail too..You may need to adjust the fill level by throttle back on the water or if your system has a fill level control.. adjust that.. but first things first.. get the system back to a known good state.. ( meaning free from all ice ) so that you can monitor its performance,. Hope that helps...

I am assuming you have the ice maker that the tray twists to release the ice. There is a new tray out with a wall to prevent the water spilling over. The part number is
