I purchased a new 52" from bestbuy saltlake city utah paid cash 1,940.00 when we took the tv out of the box and pluged it in it didnt work we retuned the tv the same day with the reciept they woundnt exchange it or return my money because of the physical dammage i didnt notice any physical i dont know if its just bestbuy trying to rip me off. my name is Keith Thomas an average family we saved for quite a while for the TV and all we ended up with is a piece of junk in the box. i would really like a tv that works or my money returned.

I ALSO HAVE A 52 INCH RCA (2 YEARS OLD) I HAVE TRIED ALL OF THE TIPS THAT HAVE BEEN DISCUSSED. LUCKILY I PURCHASED THE EXTENDED WARRANTY ON THIS UNIT.. AFTER A MONTH OF OVER THE PHONE TROUBLE SHOOTING FROM WARRANTY REPAIR CENTER THIS INCLUDED REMOVING THE BATTERIES IN CASE THE REMOTE WAS BAD. THEY FINALLY CAME AFTER IT YESTERDAY. THE PICKUP BOYS SAID THAT THEY ARE HAVING A LOT OF TROUBLE WITH THESE UNITS DOING THIS SAME THING. THEY ALSO SAID THAT SOME WERE BEING REPLACED WITH NEW ONES. NOT SURE IF RCA OR WARRANTY IS REPLACING (MINE WAS PURCHASED FROM BESTBUY WITH BEST BUY WARRANTY). IF ANYONE HAS SPOKEN TO ANYONE ABOUT A REPLACEMENT PLEASE RESPOND. I THINK IF THERE ARE SOME UNITS BEING REPLACED WITH NEW ONES WE ARE MORE THAN LIKELY GETTING THE SAME DEFECTIVE UNITS (WHICH WILL MORE THAN LIKELY WORK UNTIL OUT OF WARRANTY). I WISH THEY WOULD JUST GIVE REFUNDS OR CERTIFICATES TOWARDS NEW DIFFERENT UNITS MAYBE IF THERE WERE ENOUGH COMPLAINTS THIS MIGHT BE CONSIDERED.
