I got breville but the steamer is not working what can I do

It is probably clogged with hard water deposits. You can use white vinager or something like CLR pour into the iron an let it set for awhile an allow it to eat away the deposits. Don't turn on iron until it's finished an cleaned with fresh water.

Why is hard water considered bad?

It is called "hard" because of all of the impurities that are in it. Such things as sulphur, iron, zinc, other minerals and such. As such it is not "pure" and therefore "Hard". It leaves deposits in the sink and other items. While minerals are necessary for life it is not always best to acquire them from your water.

Where in south africa is hard water a problem

Most water in South Africa are considered hard. Water boiling pots and kettles are encrusted with calcium deposits on the inside, most of the underlying strata are rich in calcium deposits.
Even major water collection reservoirs filled with rain run off also collected calcium en route to storage facility.

there are iron cleaning products available fro small goods retailers or repair shops that will break down those deposits
while it easy to fill from the tap , if you read the user manual it is recommended to use de-mineralised water for irons not tap water

Steam coming out but no water is being distribued for the steam to dry it

If you have used it a lot and you have hard water... the calcium deposits will clog the water dispenser. That's what happened to mine. I cleaned it out with white vinegar and it started working fine. It's simply something clogged in the water dispenser.

The cold water is constantly running into the washer very slowly. I regularly clear the supply hose of particulates and hard water deposits, but there is something else seemingly preventing maximum flow of...

This problem is commonly caused by a water inlet valve leaking by. If you live in an area that has hard water, or if you use well water, sediment, rust or calcified deposits can accumulate in the inlet valve and cause it not to close properly. Usually when they start leaking, you need to replace them.

If the model number is correct, the part number for a replacement valve is WH13X10025.

If you have any questions, please post back and let me know. I hope this helps you.

Excessive white particles on work to be ironed

It may be hard water deposits on the iron from using steam mode especially if you use well water, use distilled or purified bottled water in the iron and it will prevent more of it from building up. you can remove what has built up using vinagar or other store hard water deposit removers on the outside and rinsing off well
