When I turn my TV on, it automatically turns off and stays off.

My tv worked great all morning. Then, suddenly, it turned off. We turned it back on, and then it turned itself off. When it's off, is stays off. I have a Mitsubishi Diamond 65" projection TV.
Thanks for your help!

It won't start. Could it be the lamp?

I have a 36" Panasonic TV (manufactured in 2004) that suddenly stopped working. It was working fine up until I turned it off one evening before going to bed. The next morning, when I went to turn it on, NOTHING. No power indicator light, NOTHING. I'm a big "do-it-yourselfer", so I took off the back cover of the TV case and discovered that it was just a burnt-out fuse. It is a small "snap-in" glass fuse that should be mounted to a circuit board near the area where the main power chord enters the back of the TV. I found the replacement fuses at Radio Shack. The fuse came in a package of 4, for $2.99. Cheap fix and works great! The biggest problem I had with the fix is that the TV weighs 386 lbs., so I had to get help lifting it out and back into the entertainment center.

Sony TV not turning on

Chances are the Power Supply failed because the Horizontal circuit failed. It would not be out of line if the repair cost ran 250.00 plus.
It is probably not worth fixing due to the age of the set.
Hope this helps,

Bush TV, model number RF6685VPL/A - Colours are wrong!

It seems that it is a degaussing problem. TV sets have a degaussing coil that when the TV is turned on , it automatically demagnetizes the screen. Never place any speakers or anything magnetic near or on top of your set. if you see swirls of color and like you say, wierd colors, it is that the screen is magnetized. Turn it on and off with the switch. Not the remote control. The degaussing coil only works by manually turn the switch on and off.
