I have tried downloading every driver known to many, tried contacting Acer support, the told me they couldn't help me because I am no no longer under warranty. Every time I click on the "Acer Crystal Eye Webcam" program it tells me the camera is not found, it also does NOT show up on my device manager, it's like somewhere in the year that I had it the whole thing disappeared. I don't know what to do, I have tried a system reboot, tried re installing all the drivers and they all come back with an error message saying that the downloaded driver has nothing to attach to. . I am unsure how to fix this or if I should just buy a new laptop, any ideas?

Make sure that the usb drivers do not have conflick right click on my computer and go to propertys open the device manager and see if there are any conflick of driver unistall the camera and drivers for the camera restart the laptop ad the setup disk and follow the prompts to reinstall the drivers if you dont have a setup disk download the driver and put them on a disk ,if you install from a disk you will have less chance of conflick than you would if you just down load and install from the internet.

Go to Device Manager and open up Universal Serial Bus controllers and you should see USB Unknown Device. Right click on the USB Unknown Device and click on Uninstall. Shut down the Aspire One PC. Unplug the power adapter to the PC. Remove the battery at the back of the PC. Wait 1 minute.
Put back the battery. Plug the power adapter. Turn ON the Acer Aspire One pc. It should automatically detect the Acer Webcam and it will be listed in the Imaging Devices at the Device Manager. :) yay
