I have a Panasonic DMR-E80H DVD Recorder. I have Comcast, TV is set to Ch3, what should the DVD recorder be set to during the recording of a program and how do I do that? What does Channels L1, L2 etc. mean? How do I inrease the lumination on the DVD display bar?
Video & Left,Right audio go out of Comcast cable box to L1 input on DVD recorder,Video & Left,Right audio go out of DVD recorder to a line input of your TV. Record L1 input on DVD recorder.
If you wish to have the DVD tuner choose the channel directly, have the cable plugged into the ANTENNA input on the device. The L1, L2, etc., are the INPUTS for recording. You must go PAST the L1, L2 indicators on the front panel by pressing the INPUT button (second row of remote) until you get to CHANNEL, or you can simply push the up or down channel arrow key to jump to the tuner. Now keep in mind, you MUST have set up your channels (you can use the AUTO FIND). You can have it record instantly or you can set up a timer.
