This GE Profile Dryer started having a scraping noise in the front when it ran, which could be stopped by moving the basket back. Now, it scrapes and squeaks consistently. I can hear the bearings squeak, and the basket is scraping the front of the enclosure as it turns. It's a good dryer otherwise. How do I take it apart?
Remove 4 torx screws from the top of control panel, then slide control panel sideways till you can lift it up off the top cover, then open the dryer door on the upper door land area there are 2 screws going up into the top cover remove them then you can remove the top cover, then on each side at the top there is a screw holding the front panel in place, remove these then you can remove door switch wires from the door switch and lift up on this panel to remove it off the gussets on the bottom of the door, then you can install the top door bearing and 4 drum slides

Depends how technical you are. More than likely it is the rollers (depending on who made the Kenmore). Go to www.apwagner.com and you can get the parts there. Or if you are unsure about taking it all apart, call for service.

What is your model number ...sounds like the drum glides are going out or the support rollers
SOURCE: dryer drum causing squeak
Most likely the front support bearing. If this is the problem you will likely have to replace the slides too. The wizards have a ten year warranty. The bearing is part number WE3M26 and the slides probably need 3 or 4 of them are we1m333. Hope this helps.
