When I turn my laptop on, automatically it goes to the Acer green screen, then the Start Up Repair dialogue box pops up.. However when it goes through the motion of repairing, it say's Windows cannot repair this computer automatically. How can I fix this problem please? I also used the alt F10 key to get to Factory Default Dialogue box etc, but I don't remember my Recovery eManagement Password, How do I fix this problem to please?
How do a restore my acer laptop to factory settings. Turn off your laptop. When you see the Acer screen, press Alt F10. This should take you to the recovery partition on the hard drive. From there, you can do a factory restore.

I have a feeling you will have contact www.acer.com for them to reset the emanager password for you.
Have you tried to restore this unit,
It shouldn't be passworded either just reset back to original install.

It sound like your hard drive has crashed. There is no easy solution to your problem. Here are a couple solutions. You need to run a "chkdsk". It will scan and fix file problems on your HD. To do this you can either download a boot disk like "Ultimate boot disk" or you can take the HD out of your laptop and attach it to another computer. Neither of these are easy, for the boot disk you need to have software that can burn a "iso image" to a cd and to attach the HD to another computer you have to have the proper adapter. I would be happy to walk you through either one of these, just let me know. The easist thing to do would be to contact Acer and get recovery cds then go buy a new hard drive. I would take the old one to the store, to be sure I got the right replacement HD.

if you converted the drive to a dynamic drive then you will have issues altering it. if you cannot get the operating system to load so that you can re configure the drive so that it is not dynamic then you will have to do a clean install of the operating system and completely reformat the drive.
