Let see if by chance the defrost timer is stuck in defrost. Here is a photo of the back section of your Click Here=> FUF17DMRWH System Components Item number 121 is the defrost timer and I want you to take a flathead screwdriver and slowly turn the timer dial clockwise until the compressor starts or stops. If doing this will cause the compressor to start you will need to replace the=> WR09X10154 Defrost Timer
worked fine unplugged it and plugged it back in li - 11_30_2012_9_56_08_am.jpg
If this is not the problem I want you to feel the top of the compressor to see if it is hot or too hot to keep your hand on top. This test you will need to have the freezer plugged in and set to come on. Doing this tells me that the compressor is trying to start but cannot. If this is the case then we will need to replace the start components listed as number 119=> WR08X10038 Overload

and part listed as 128=>Let me know what you find and I will help you locate why the compressor is not running, Thanks Sea Breeze

Deplay light and inside light off, door ajar and compressor running

I appreciate your inquiry, stephen couch!

From the information you have provided the lights on and inside of your freezer are off and your compressor is running. This sounds like a possible short within your control panel or wiring issue. I see you have performed a reset on your freezer by unplugging it and plugging it back in. Typically, to perform a factory reset we would suggest unplugging your freezer for roughly ten minutes. If that does not help I would suggest having a professional come out and perform an accurate diagnosis. This will help avoid any unnecessary part purchases. Best of luck! -Matt

Compressor wont start up fan in freezer stays on

        • Pull the fridge out from the wall and check to make sure it is plugged in.
        • Unplug the fridge and plug in a spare appliance to see if the outlet is working. Check the circuit breaker to the house see If the outlet is not working to see if there are any fuses that are flipped.Inspect the electrical cord for the refrigerator for damage, such as from a mouse or pet chewing on it.
    • Open the fridge to see if the light turns on. The power to the unit is fine if the light turns on, which means something else is the cause of the starting issue.
    • Turn up the thermostat on the inside of the fridge if it is set to a low setting. Turn it all the way up and listen for the condenser motor to start. Have the unit serviced by a professional if it does not May be internal problem with component

Freezer was fine. I unplugged it, stood it up in back of truck, got to house plugged it in and now it won't get cold. Compressor is working! Help!

that sounds very frustrating and makes little sense. The compressor works but what about the small fan the blows across the evaporator coil. Also, every refrigeration system has a metering device that is responsible for the pressure drop of the refrigerant just before it enters the evaporator coil. It may look like the orifice on a gas appliance with capilary tubles. it will be between the 2 coils on the line opposite the compressor. Look for kinks in the tubing

ED20TQ ; The Refrigerator is running only sometimes. It works then it doesn't. I can hear compressor. When it runs it runs fine. But then it stops for like 8 h or so. The ice will melt in the freezer.

you can bypass your freezer cold control by unplugging the control and connecting the wires together. Unplug from the wall first then plug it back up. and see if it keeps running. If it does the control is the problem.

The freezer works fine, but if you unplug it, it won't start back up, you have to let it sit unpluged for about 30 minutes to an hour before it will come back on. Its like it needs to cool off, it does get...

The high side and low side of the refrigerant system , have to equalize , before the compressor can start . If you unplug , then plug back in , the high side has a lot more pressure , therefore the compressor will not start and the overload will cut the compressor off . When overload cools slightly , compressor will try to start again . If pressures not equalized , overload will cut compressor off again . As this happens , the compressor will get hotter and hotter . Eventually , pressure will equalize and compressor will continue to run . Very bad on compressor and components .
