Problem with Curtis tv channel search with dish tv

That isn't a feature of Channel Scan, that is a function of the SOURCE or INPUT button on the remote. It chooses the different HDMI sources.

Look up your manual. Add the model number after the word 'Curtis'

Go into the setup menu and do a channel search again selecting digital and analog channels. Then change the input type to cable and you should get your channels back.

I have one of this tv model too.Just used a RCA component cables like Y,R,W hook one side to the tv Video IN INPUT holes and the VCR the other end of the cable to VCR Video OUT INPUT holes.Now just pushes a channel manual button up or down a couples for the tv go into VIDEO Mode.Play the dvd player it will work.Or try Remotes.com to buy a tv original remote.Return the universal remote.

Used the tv remote go into tv Menu goto SETUP go down Ch. enter pick CABLE and enter again.Tv now will go into auto scanning for CABLE channels.After the auto scan done for the CABLE channels are finish.After this u will able to go to channel 60 to used the dish remote.

The codes are; 516, 573, 680,652, 665, 667, 668, 670, 674, 659, 590, 650, 664, 708, 641, 645, 703, 712, 526,660, 654, 658 and 506. Try this method it is called a power scan it should help!
1.) Hold down the clear "TV" button on the remote for four seconds, then press 500 pound ( #)
2.) Hold down the clear "TV" button on the remote for four seconds, press the big power button once.
3.) Press the channel up button once per second until the TV turns off then press pound (#).
If this doesn't help I will need the decimal number off of your remote to find a more specific code.

your direct tv remote has an optional code search that is useful by using the channel up and channel down buttons try to program as usual and after pressing the tv button use the channel buttons until the channel changes, when it changes hold down the mute button for a couple of seconds

We also bought a universal remote to program a Curtis Mathis TV. We found the code by using the code search method. It works everything but the channel program feature. Does anyone know how to access that? BTW the remote is a GE 24921. Thanks
