I am stuck with a simple issue I believe with a burnt out fan motor
Sequence
power off
removed oven rear plate
removed element
used flat head screwdrive on the round nut at the front of the fan blade on the fan motor shaft
used vice grips on small round nut in front of the fan blades
fan now turns independently as it seems I have damaged something?
Problem is for the life of me I cannot remove the small nut at the front of the fan blade so as to be able to remove the fan blade then undo the fan motor 3 mounting screws
How do I remove that round nut or is it in fact two nuts counter locking each other
Which way to undo it? Whats the trick
Really appreciate your help as I am stuck with what appears to me to be a simple job to remove this round nut.
Cheers
Roger
Most fan blades are held on by a single nut, which is usualy a left hand thread, so to unscrew it you turn it clockwise as though you are tightening it up.and to tighten it,anticlockwise..
If the spindle turns, then you will have to hold it with a pair of grips or similar.
Plz rate my solution.
Thabks.

Usually answered in minutes!
Worked after I also added some teflon lubricant and let it soak in.
Having tried to undo it the wrong way did not help no doubt and caused the fan to shear from the nut.
Am I correct in assuming that the nut is attached to the fan as I will now need to buy this part as well.
