Not all hardware supports bass and treble enhancement in ther Std Windows sound controls. unless it worked before I would imagine it isnt supported.
You should be able to enhance it in Media Player using the Graphic Equaliser as this is software based.

I need to adjust bass and treble on the 65uk 7500 model

  1. Turn on your LG 65UK7500 TV and ensure it is connected to a video source.
  2. Press the "Settings" button on your TV remote. It is usually represented by a gear or cog icon.
  3. Use the arrow buttons on the remote to navigate to the "Sound" or "Audio" settings. Press the "OK" or "Enter" button to access the sound settings.
  4. In the sound settings menu, you should find options for adjusting various sound parameters, including bass and treble. Look for options like "Equalizer," "Audio Settings," or "Sound Mode."
  5. Select the option that allows you to adjust the bass and treble settings. It may be labeled as "Bass" or "Treble."
  6. Use the arrow buttons on the remote to increase or decrease the levels of bass and treble according to your preference. Some TVs may use numerical values, while others use a graphical representation.
  7. Once you have adjusted the bass and treble settings to your liking, press the "OK" or "Enter" button to save the changes.

I have no control of bass or treble on my yamaha rx-v992, is this a settings issue or something else?

Maybe bass and treble settings OR the volume control IC has gone bad. Basically, all analog signals processed by DAC fed from DSP will enter this IC for bass and treble control. If it is bad, no bass and treble control can get. You should bear in mind that the setting of bass and treble is good before checking the volume control IC.

What are the best settings for bass , treble and mid in order to get the best sound

There are no hard and fast rules for setting Bass, Midrange and Treble on your radio. Depending on the type of music you are listening to with your radio, it can / will determine your sound settings. To attempt to set the sound settings on your radio, select the sound settings and set all of them to 0. ( Bass, mid, treble ), then start playing your usual music. With the music playing move the treble setting in single incriments 1,2,3,4 and so. A comfortable setting is usually a 5 out of a total number of 6. Then move over to Midrange and repeat process. A 4-5 out of 6 is usually comfortable. Finally comes the Bass. You do not want to overpower your speakers with too much bass as this will damage them over time. Repeat the usual process and listen carfully for any baffling or distortion as you move through the numbers. A comfortable bass setting is usually 2-4 out of 6. Again I must stress that there is no hard and fast rule for settings. It boils down to the type of music, and what your ears tells you sounds good. What sounds good to me might not be enough for you, or vice versa. I hope this helps! Cheers!
