Bought a used Cartier Tank Francaise Chronography Watch which did not come with a manual. How do you operate the various buttons on the top and bottom of the crown?
The top button is for chronograph function and puts the chronograph seconds hand in motion. The bottom button is for resetting chronograph seconds hand to zero.
Do as follows:
1) push the top button once- seconds hand starts moving,
2) push the top button once more- seconds hand stops,
3) push the bottom button once- seconds hand returns to zero.
You can repeat as many times as you like- seconds hand will allways start the countdown from zero.
Depending on what movement your watch has(mechanical or quartz), there can be more variations, but the basics are as described.
